Introduction

One of the real charm of sushi is
“ EDOMAE 江戸前 ”, but not only that,
"EZOMAE 蝦夷前" is also very important for us.
That is the sushi TANABE style.

We prepare the premium selection of natural seafood caught in the oceans around of mainly Hokkaido and other place in Japan.
And we make sure of the best condition of the material, use the freshness effectively or cook to improve the taste of ingredients.

Not only materials, our style is also built with accomplished chef’s technique, skills, sense and experience.

And, thanks to a lot of customer, and our diligent with strong belief, we received Michelin Three Star.

We continue to pursue our sushi more delicious and more beautiful faithfully.
We will do our best for every customer with warm hospitality, and we hope they would enjoy our sushi cuisine.

Masashi Watanabe
1968 Born and raised in Hokkaido.
1983 Started training to become sushi chef in
Sapporo, and built up in Tokyo.
1990 Had own sushi restaurant in his home town,
and moved to Susukino where the
largest concentrated district of various
cuisine in Sapporo.
2002 Along with the opening the business of
the Windsor Hotel Toya, appointed to the
first sushi chef.
2008 Came back to Sapporo, opened the sushi TANABE.
2012 Three Star of Michelin Guide Hokkaido was awarded toThe sushi TANABE.
2015 Moved to the Rokkatei building.

At the sushi TANABE, we have 2 types of seats, the bar counter and the private room.
We offer you a choice for enjoying your dinner to suit your preference.

Reservation

We respectfully request you to refrain from wearing strong fragrance like perfume, because we hope you would enjoy our characteristic sushi and the aroma of the cuisine.
If you fail to comply with the request, you might be refused to enter depending on the situation.
And we are afraid no guest with too casual wear such as flip-flops, jersey, short pants and so on.
We have aimed for all of customers to satisfy and ensure the comfort, and we would be grateful to you for your cooperation and understand.

We have some sushi chef and staff, who can serve in English, we are looking forward to seeing international guests.
